1. Describe an short trip you often take but you dislike
- Where you go?
- Why you go there?
- When you go there?
- Explain why you do not like this trip?
Sample Answer:- Well I am a hodophile and travel is my passion no matter whether it is a short trip or a long trip. Thus, I enjoy all the trips except one which I detest. It is my everyday commuting between home and the institute where I am learning VFX modeling. My Institute is around 20 km away from my home. As I have a keen interest in animation and 3d art, therefore I preferred to join an institute to hon my skills. Well If I say about the frequency of going to that institute, almost every weekday. I have to change my buses two times, So if I include overall waiting time, It takes me sometime an hour to reach my institute. It also depends on various factors such as road traffic, any delay in the bus timetable, also road conditions are very poor.
Because there is not a quality of learning in an online class as I assume. Hence I preferred offline classes over online ones. But I was unaware of some problems which I am facing currently like it is very difficult for me now to travel forth and back to my institute. Overall the main reason for having an aversion to going on that route is because of the road conditions and crowd in the bus. Furthermore same view and same place, I feel very boring and lack of excitement makes to heat this trip.
Not only this but also, sometimes I go on the same route for shopping and groceries because our nearby grocery stores do not have a variety of items. Thereby, I am planning to change my institute just avoid to these troubles which I am facing every day on this short trip. Even I have applied to an online course just for the backup.
2. Describe a time you made a promise to someone.
- Whom did you make the promise to?
- What the promise was?
- Why you made the promise?
- Was the promise easy to achieve?
Sample Answer:- well, we often make promises to different people with the intention to keep the promises. However, sometimes, due to uncertain circumstances, we fail to our words.
Here I would like to talk about an experience when I promised my parents to achieve more than 80% mark with first division in 10th class.
It happened almost 8 years ago when I was studying in 10th class. There was a Prize of 60,000 rupees for a student who got above 80% marks. At that time our financial condition was not that good. My Parents were doing very hard work in order to learn livelihood. Thereafter I realized that I Should do something for them. I gave my words to my parents that I would put my all efforts to get a score above 80% in my final exams. Because it was the only way to earn the scholarship. However, this promise was a hard nut to crack for me As I could not afford the tuition class, so without it, getting above 80% seemed a bit challenging to me. Nonetheless, I started self-study. I tirelessly devoted my entire time to study. Also, I would love to give the credits to my best friend Rajveer who helped me a lot through that rough patch of my life. She completed my assignments and all the homework so I could focus more on my studies instead of homework.
After studying day and night and putting in lots of effort I made it possible and got success to achieve my promise, and scored more than 90% marks with the first position. Then i was rewarded with a scholarship, it was a proud moment for my parents. Surprisingly after that day, I was counted among intelligent students. So this was the promise that I made to my parents and accomplished it.
3. Describe a special hotel you stayed in.
- Where is it?
- Why you went there?
- What is it like?
- Explain how you felt about it.
Sample Answer:- Well I am a hodophile, I have stayed in many hotels during my trips. Usually, I and my friends prefer to book a budget hotel. But here I would like to share my experience of staying in one luxury hotel. Actually, 2 years ago we were on a Manali trip. When we reached at Manali we found that all the small and budget hotels were already booked. Therefore we had only one choice to stay in a luxury hotel. It was the hotel named “Paradise hotel” of four-star standard. It is a massive hotel with hundreds of rooms and we got really impressed by the interior. It is totally like a Royal Palace. Besides the comfortable rooms, this hotel has so many facilities for the guests. For example, the swimming pool where we had a lot of fun together by sitting beside the pool. Even one of my friends Navreet got slipped into the pool, thank god the pool was shallow but she got wet completely.
We all were laughing at her instead of helping her out. Later we went to the terrace cafe where we drank the hot famous coffee of the Manali. It was a blissful experience I mean drinking coffee under millions of stars at night is totally a mesmerizing thing. There was also an Arcade gaming room where we were playing and competing with each other in a racing game. But the best part of the stay in this hotel was the food. There was a multi-cuisine restaurant where we tried international foods. The food was finger-licking and we ate to the fullest. Moreover, there was a special observatory next to the hotel where one can gaze at stars and planets. As the high altitude of this hotel and pollution-free environment makes it a wonderful place.
