Transportation Cost to Goa

See, Goa is well connected with each and every city and state, So guys no worries to reach Goa. You can opt for any mode of transportation. There are three major railway stations in Goa. You can choose the railway station according to your comfort and your destination part of Goa. For instance, if you want to visit South Goa first then Madgaon station will be best for you. In the case of North Goa then you should prefer Thivim station. But if you willing to visit the entire Goa then go for Vasco Da Gama. One thing for north Indians that just try to avoid travelling by bus as it is so far away from Delhi. Alright if you from the neighbour state of Goa then you will go by bus. In Hotel:- There are so many hotels available even under 500 Rs/-. If you will go there with your friends it can be divided to lower price. You can check it even now on hotel booing apps.

In hostels:- talking about hostels, I would recommend it if you are a solo traveler. Some hostels in Goa will cost you between 250/- and 300/- Rs per night.

How to visit local sights and means of transportation with cost in Goa

  • Public Bus:- Well let me aware you that there is no public bus service at night in Goa. Although it is quite safe out there at night. Just consider around 200/- Rs of bus fare per day to visit local sights.
  • Rental Scooty:- Yes you read it right. there is a service of rental scooters which will cost you 300-350/- per day. Even you don’t need to take tension about local police of Goa if you have will your Driving License. By undertaking current petrol price you will need hardly 2 liters of petrol per day which will cost you around 180/- Rs. So total is 320+180 =500. So, of course, you would be 2 on Scooty then the per-person cost of visiting local sights would be 250 barely.
  • Rental Car:– If you are 4 or 5 in the group then you would take a car for rent. It would cost you around 1200/- per day per group to visit local sights. So you do the math and in your share will only around 240/- Rs.
  • Goa sightseeing bus services:- These are local tourism buses which bring you to special places in Goa. Talking about Tour-1 North Goa service which will cost you around 400/- per day. it will make you visit Vagator Beach, Anjuna Beach, Baga Beach, Calangute Beach, Sinquerim Beach, and Fort Aguada. Whereas, South Goa Tour you will also visit so many churches and beaches there in the same kind of bus at 400/- Rs per day.
  • Total Cost:- Just roughly saying for 4 days it would be 1200/- Rs Maximum. This is only possible when you use all sorts of transportation on different days.

Day-wise itinerary of Goa with cost

Stay in City Panjim. It is the capital city of Goa. So every kind of facility is easily available here. From this all major sights of North Goa is just around the area of 40 Km. Although you can switch your stay while visiting south Goa. Goa sightseeing buses will drop you at the same location where it will pick you. It would be a great experience.

Day 1 North Goa

Your first day would be in North Goa, in Panaji (Panjim) the capital of Goa. So, guys, I would suggest you take a ‘HOHO’ goa sightseeing buses as these buses would offer so many locations and sights. Price list I had mentioned above. However, food will cost you around 250/- per day it includes one meal of seafood too. Accommodation will charge you 250/- Rs per person in cheap hotels. The total cost of your first day would be 900/- Rs. The places that you will visit on goa sightseeing Bus are:-

  • Vagator Beach:- If you want to see red cliffs that touch the blue water of the sea then it is the best beach. It is 16 km away from Panji.
  • Anuja Beach:- This the beach of parties and vibrant nightlife. It offers an amazing lifestyle. Water sports are cheaper at this beach.
  • Baga Beach:- It is the beach of clubs and bars. Coconut seafood curry is the must thing to try here.
  • Calangute Beach:- It is a calmer and relaxing beach and crowd-free too. Here you can also visit the Kerkar Art Gallery and Church of St. Alex.
  • Sinquerim Beach:-Actually this beach is famous for its sunburn festival and some water sports.
  • Fort Aguada:- It is a massive fort and a great example of the architecture of Portuguese, there is a tall lighthouse inside this fort too.

Day 2 North Goa

So guys on day 2 try to cover the missing sights that were not covered in Day 1’s Bus ride. So the main attraction is Chapora fort. I guess every one of you has watched “Dil Chahta Hai Movie”. The fort in that movie where all 3 heroes sit together. It is that fort. So I would suggest on the second day take a Scooty on rent which will cost you around 250-300/- Rs per person with bargaining. Food and accommodation would cost you the same 250/- and 250/- respectively. So your estimated second-day cost would be 800/- Rs in total. Places to visit on the second day:-

  • Chapora Fort:- I have introduced this fort earlier. Magnificent fort if you want to take the views of vast ocean and mountains then it is a must-visit place.
  • Basilica of Bom Jesus:- It is a romantic catholic church in Old Goa. It is located 10 km away from Panjim city.
  • Catholic Church of St. Francis of Assisi:- It is another wonderful church located 13 km away from Panjim.
  • Fontainhas:- I think you all have seen those amazing colorful streets and homes of Greece. This place is totally like this. It is located 2 km away from Panjim.

Day 3 South Goa

Well as I said before South Goa is a place for family people. Who want to see historical monuments and local churches and temples then it is a must-visit part of Goa. South Goa offers so many exotic and sandy beaches. Amazing lush green forest of palms and coconuts. So many picnic sports are there too in South Goa. Amazing falls and mountain Capades. So there are again ‘HOHO” Goa sightseeing buses available for South Goa. Needless to worry about it. Goa ‘HOHO’ bus will charge you around 400/-Rs. On the third day, you will have to move to the south goa beaches where you can stay in cheap hotels. Accommodation will cost you around 250/- Rs per person if you would stay in canacona city. Well, on the next day and last day just again rent a Scooty to visit all those remaining places of south Goa that would be missed in the ‘HOHO’ bus. Rental Scooty manages under 300 Rs/- and 2-liter petrol extra. so overall cost will be 500/- Rs and if 2 people on one Scooty then 250/- Rs per head. Accommodation and food costs would remain the same 500/- collectively. The total cost of Day 4th will be 750/- Rs. Now places that you will see on 4th day would like:-

  • Colva Beach:- It is the Longest Beach in South Goa. You can see soothing sunset over here.
  • Netra Vali Wildlife Sanctuary – It is a treat for adventure lovers. Must visit place in South Goa.
  • Dudhsagar Falls:- A beautiful spot on the eastern side of south goa. Please will not skip it.
  • Flashy nightlife on Goa beaches.

Extra things which you can enjoy on Goa trip

  • Dj Nights:-There are so many beaches where Dj nights usually organized. Ask the local people for free Dj nights. They will guide you.
  • Disco Bars and Clubs:- Well there are so many Clubs in North Goa and South Goa. Talking about south Goa there is ‘Silent Noise Club’ in canacona it would cost you 650/- Rs per person.(Drinks and food excluded) It is only the cheapest best club.
  • Alcohol price:- Now this is the amazing point for Alcohol Lover. You will feel good to know that In Goa Alcoholic beverages available at the cheapest price. I have excluded day of travelling to Goa. Almost your 3 days would be wasted in commuting to goa and back to your home if you are from north India. You need a week at least for this trip if you will go to Goa in Train.
