Introduction
Though people receive free things as gifts on their special days, still there are few times when out of nowhere we receive something free of cost. getting things without paying for them, have a charm in itself. So being a fortunate person I too received a number of things for free.
What it was
As I vividly remember two months ago, I was yearning for the English edition of Bhagwat Geeta( “A great epic of Hindu Religion”). I dug out all the online bookshops, But all I found was a biased translation of Geeta. Later, I received it free of cost from Mathura Press, located in the birthland of God ” Krishna”.
Who you recieved it from
I received this great book from a sacred temple located in Mathura, it has its own publication press. It was an honorable thing to get this great epic from Lord Krishna’s birthplace.
Where you received it
I am excited to share that I received this book at my doorstep. Even they did not charge me the delivery cost. Everything was waived off to me. This book was delivered to me within 3 days of my order-making.
How you felt about it
I felt kind of on cloud nine. Because Bhagwat Geeta’s alternative books were costing like an arm and leg. It was a blissful experience. Since I was dying to read the preaches of Lord Krishna through this great epic it was finally in my hands. I was thinking that maybe the almighty Krishna paved the way for me to get this precious gift. Even I shared about this in WhatsApp status. This great epic taught me how our life works and what duties we are held responsible for. So this was the time I received something very special as a gift.
Follow ups for “Describe something you received for free”.
1. Do you think people should pay for higher education? Why?
I definitely think that people should pay for higher education themselves. I think people should only go for higher education when they are really interested. Paying it for ourselves means- we do it only when we really want to. At the same time, I also feel that government should provide scholarships and loans to poor students so that they don’t leave education because of money.
2. What free gifts do companies usually give to their customers?
Well if I talk about my country, I guess companies like to give small gifts like clocks, plastic buckets, cups, crockery, and notebooks to their customers. Though by doing so they just indirectly try to advertise their companies, by placing logos of their company on the gifts. Moreover, there is also some other discount deals like buy one get one free. There are some companies who provide some lucky draws on festivals in which they give expensive gifts to the lucky one.
